Welcome to Aunty Kendra's


Hi, I’m Kendra. For 36 years, you would have found me managing a dental office here in Kailua, surrounded by scrubs, schedules, and sterility.

But if you asked me about my favorite memories, I wouldn’t talk about teeth. I’d tell you about growing up in Hawai‘i, riding bikes, and the taste of li hing mui that made our eyes light up and our mouths pucker.

In 2020, my son and I started a small test kitchen called Ken’s Korner. It was a way to share joy during a hard time. But as we grew from a driveway pop-up to store shelves, we realized our name needed to reflect what this business had really become: a family.

In Hawai‘i, "Aunty" is more than a title. It’s a feeling. It’s the person who makes sure you’re fed, welcomes you in, and sends you home with a plate. That is the heart of this business. We are still that mom-and-son team from Kailua, just with a name that fits the warmth we pour into every bottle.

We all remember the joy of li hing mui seeds—but we also remember the sticky red fingers and the powder spilling everywhere. I wanted to solve that.

I traded my dental tools for a whisk and developed our signature Li Hing Sauce. It’s the nostalgic, authentic flavor we remember but reimagined for today—pourable, drizzle-ready, and mess-free. Whether it’s on fruit, in a cocktail, or over our gummy snacks, it’s a taste of home that’s easy to share.

Today, every batch is still crafted with care, using locally sourced ingredients whenever possible. Thank you for letting us be part of your table.
